It’s shaping up to be quite a wild weekend of celebrity weddings coast-to-coast!
In LA, delivery trucks and large tents have been popping up around Lionel Richie’s Beverly Hills home, for what will reportedly be daughter Nicole Richie’s wedding to her longtime beau, rocker Joel Madden, on Saturday.
Amongst the celebrity friends reportedly expected to attend the star-studded affair include pals Samantha Ronson and Khloe Kardashian. However, one celeb who may not make it is Nicole’s pal, Kim Kardashian.
Kim reportedly told HollywoodLife.com that she wouldn’t be able to attend.
“I’m busy. I have to work,” she reportedly told the site.
According to E! Online, Nicole’s former BFF and “Simple Life” co-star Paris Hilton will also not be in attendance.
Meanwhile, 2,700 miles away, “Better With You” beauty JoAnna Garcia and her baseball boyfriend – New York Yankees slugger Nick Swisher – will also say “I do” in a ceremony in Palm, Beach Florida.
The event, which will be attended by about 450 guests, will be held at the Breakers Hotel and Resort in Palm Beach, Access Hollywood has learned.
Not only will many of Nick’s Yankee teammates be in attendance, but one will also be bringing a very famous date.
Alex Rodriguez is expected to be on hand along with his on-again/off-again gal pal Cameron Diaz, who is also friends with the bride-to-be.
Fellow Yankees star Derek Jeter will not be in attendance, according to an Access source.
Also heading to Florida for the ceremony? JoAnna’s very good friend Lance Bass, who will be a part of the ceremony and is set to walk the actress’ former “Reba” co-star, Reba McIntyre, down the aisle.
It’s unclear what additional roles Lance and Reba might be playing in the wedding.
Nick, 30, and JoAnna, 31, got engaged in May after the baseball star confirmed the couple was dating in September 2009.
