Will Shakira Return To ‘The Voice’?

Shakira is making her exit from “The Voice,” but will the “Empire” singer ever return to coach the NBC reality singing competition again?

“You never know, but the truth is that I accepted to [be on] just one season and then they convinced me to do one more,” she told Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez at the Billboard Music Awards on Sunday in Las Vegas. “I was having a blast, so that’s why I decided to come back, but at this point I need to go back to my life and you know go on tour and be a mom.”

The 37-year-old beauty, who gave birth to son Milan in January 2103, said she plans on getting back to her own music.

“Yeah, [I’m going to] make new music, make new albums,” she said. “But it’s been fun really, and you never know if I may come back in the future but I don’t think so.

“Like right now I don’t think it’s gonna happen,” she added.

Despite her exit, the singer will always have fond memories of her time on “The Voice.”

“It was a blast,” she said. “I mean, those guys are so funny and it was great to mentor new talent and inject them with confidence and it was really an amazing experience.”
