Woman Sues Lindsay Over Alleged Car Chase

A woman involved in the Lindsay Lohan car chase, that resulted in a second DUI arrest for the starlet last month, filed a lawsuit against the actress earlier today.

Tracie Rice, who claims to have been a passenger in the car Lohan was allegedly chasing on the morning of July 24, filed an assault and negligence lawsuit against Lohan in Los Angeles Superior Court.

Lindsay “put me through one of the most frightening experiences of my life,” Rice said in a statement following the filing. “What Miss Lohan did that night was extremely dangerous and reprehensible. Someone could easily have been killed or seriously hurt because of her irresponsible decisions that evening,” she added.

Rice is reportedly seeking unspecified damages, payment of her medical and other expenses related to the incident. Additionally, Rice’s lawsuit alleges that as the chase concluded, “Police officers approached all of them with guns drawn.”

Three men who claimed to be in the car Lindsay was driving on the night of her arrest, previously held a press conference. They said at the time they were considering filing their own suit against Lohan.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Lindsay was arrested in the early hours of July 24 in Santa Monica, California on suspicion of drunken driving. She was driving a white SUV.

When pulled over by police, authorities said the 21-year-old actress refused to submit to a Breathalyzer, but did agree to other field sobriety tests, which she failed.

She was taken to jail where her blood-alcohol level registered a .12 (well above the legal limit which is .08). Lohan was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence, as well as driving on a suspended license.

Lohan was released shortly before 6:30 AM PST on $25,000 bail.
