Wynonna Judd Nervous For Dancing With The Stars Debut, Getting Advice From Kirstie Alley

Wynonna Judd jokes about returning to her baby weight now that she is on “Dancing with the Stars.”

Of course that is impossible — but Wynonna is taking off the pounds and she gave Access Hollywood a weight update when we popped in on her dancing rehearsal!

“I was obsessed the first couple of days, I weighed myself after the second day,” she told Access Hollywood at a rehearsal with pro partner Tony Dovolani. “One day, I had lost 2 lbs., and I thought if this is how it’s going to be… and I went there for a minute, and then I stopped myself.”

The pressure is on, and while weight loss is on her mind, it takes a back seat to the moves.

Wynonna’s s become so focused on tackling the ballroom, that they are rehearsing in her garage in Nashville, which she transformed into an at home studio. Despite being a country music veteran, Wynonna admitted she already has performance anxiety.

“My fans have been saying to me, ‘You’re an incredible talent and I know you’re going to do great. Just enjoy it and relax,’” she said. “Relax? Really? In front of millions of people… OK.”

Keeping her calm, and offering sage advice, has been her friend and “DWTS” alum Kirstie Alley.

“Kirstie’s become my mentor in telling me, ‘Get two buckets, get some ice, have them ready in the car when you’re done,’” she said.

“Dancing with the Stars” Season 16 premieres Monday March 18 at 8/7c on ABC.
