Zack Snyder To Direct ‘Justice League’

The heroes of the DC Comics universe are preparing to unite on the big screen and they have a behind-the-scenes leader in place.

Director Zack Snyder, who helmed “Man of Steel” and will also direct the upcoming “Batman vs. Superman” movie, will take the director’s seat once again for “Justice League” – DC Comics’ version of “The Avengers,” The Wall Street Journal reported.

“It will be a further expansion of this universe,” Warner Bros. President of Worldwide Production Greg Silverman told the WSJ. “’Superman vs. Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’”

Henry Cavill is expected to returns as Superman, Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman.

There is no word yet if fellow League favorites Aquaman, Flash and Green Lantern will appear in the ensemble piece.

According to Variety, Ray Fisher – who might be best known for his Broadway work – has been cast as Cyborg for a small role in “Batman vs. Superman.”

But what about a Wonder Woman standalone film?

“That is our hope,” Sue Kroll, President of Worldwide Marketing for Warner Bros told the WSJ. “With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.”
