Zayn Malik broke the hearts of Directioners on Wednesday, announcing he was done with 1D and the guys have vowed to continue on, but that’s not enough for us!
We’re not satisfied with just 4Ds in 1D, so AccessHollywood.com runs down five off-the-cuff ideas (which are sure to upset many Directioners) for singers who could step in to Zayn’s empty shoes:
Poach someone from 5 Seconds of Summer: If 1D wanted to really shake it up (and essentially decimate another band) we recommend stealing 5 Seconds of Summer’s lead singer Luke Hemmings from the Australian band.

Mahomie Power: Austin Mahone and his legions of Mahomies could only bolster 1D’s pop world domination.
Save A JoBro: Joe Jonas’ solo career didn’t exactly take off like brother Nick Jonas, but he would make a great addition to the guys with his vocal skills, look, style and millions of fans.
Resurrect Someone From The Wanted: The Wanted announced their hiatus more than a year ago, and none of the members of the band have gone on to do much in the meantime. We recommend getting Nathan Sykes, who would easily fit in with the 1D demo.

Lay Down A Boom Clap!: If 1D wanted to really drop the mic on their fans, they would enlist the help of Britain’s rebel pop princess Charli XCX to join the group. The Directioners might go full cray, but it would be amazing to see a girl on stage with Harry, Liam, Niall and Louis.
