Ashley Tisdale Goes Behind The Camera For 'Young & Hungry'

Ashley Tisdale tells Billy Bush and guest co-host Suzanne Somers about executive producing her new show “Young & Hungry.” How was it going behind the camera and will she appear on the show as an actor? Ashley’s new show “Young & Hungry” premieres Wednesday at 8/7c on ABC Family.

It is all coming up. It's a disaster, which means you're out, netagio is in. But that's not fair. No one has it harder than a pretty blond girl. ABC's family new comedy "Young and hungry." That guy we just saw is retch from montorage. The executor producer of the show. Did you come up with the concept? It was crazy. I worked with David holden who created the show on a prior project. I've had my company for six years. And then the tennanbaums, so it was kind of like magic happening and we got together and came up with a show. It's impressive that you're producing, especially when it's so hard to get a program -- a show sold in today's television market. It's hard. I've had my company for six years. I do unscripted and scripted. He develop so much and you see what hits. You develop so far, you work on it for nine months and then one moment -- I sold something that I'm putting on a dog and pony show today and it could be dead. And you learn from your failures. But it's really impressive that you've got an show sold and that you're -- did you not enjoy acting? Oh, no, I actually enjoy acting. But no, it's just for me. I've always been someone who loves to keep working. And that way it was like each step of the way on this project. It was such a big thing for production. And then we got picked up. And this is snap. It's premiering tonight. It's -- ABC family is so great and the cast is amazing. Our creator, you fall in love with each and every one of the characters. They've done an amazing job, ABC family. You need to get one big hit and piggyback off of it. The plaque list, they put it on right after "The voice." Pretty little liars -- They do amazing over there. I did an appearance. Yeah, right. That's how you get it done in this town, right. It's a really great role, something I've never done before. What was going on in that, was that a guest appearance? Yes. I'm an editor in a magazine and I take a real big liking to gabby, a real big liking. Because you like her cooking? Have you ever kissed a girl before, like that? . Talking aboutoff screen. No, I had done that for a movie. But it was still like, you know, the when me and Emily had to do it, we've known each other for so long, we're so much closer now. Did you get a little side? It was funny. Here it comes and the live audience is there. She went for it. As soon as we came out of that, I was like, that was pretty good. Whenever I've done a love scene, you don't want to look like you're bad at it. So if you're going to do it, you have to do it right. Go all in. I was committed to it. If you're going to do it, do it right. It is great to see you. You look terrific. Look at the leather pants. Show everybody your pants. I'm trying to keep it neck up here.
