NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Ashton Kutcher is ready to work hard on his new job on CBS’ “Two and a Half Men.”

The actor appeared at the CBS Upfronts in New York City on Wednesday with co-stars Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones, where Ashton compared his new job to winning the lottery.

“In my 13 years of showbusiness, I have never received more calls and E-mails for getting this job,” Ashton told the crowd, saying he had nabbed the best job in the business.

“I always thought you surround yourself with the best and work your [expletive] off,” the former “Punk’d” star continued. “And I am surrounded by the best and I will work my [expletive] off!”

Jon, who stars as Alan Harper on the show, told the crowed he was happy to have Ashton join the cast, but admitted he’s worried about the former “That 70’s Show” star’s impressive height.

Jon, who is 5’ 9” to Ashton’s 6’ 2.5”, joked that they should consider renaming the hit CBS series “One and Two Half Men.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, CBS and Warner Bros. announced the actor would be joining the series last week, with production beginning this summer.

“I can’t wait to get to work with this ridiculously talented 2.5 team and I believe we can fill the stage with laughter that will echo in viewers’ homes,” Ashton said in a statement released to Access Hollywood at the time by CBS. “I can’t replace Charlie Sheen but I’m going to work my ass off to entertain the hell out of people!”
