LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

After months of speculation that Season 4 could be the final chapter of “The Hills,” Audrina Patridge told People that the MTV reality show would definitely be back for another season.

“There is going to be a fifth season,” Audrina told the mag. “We just found out.”

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, just a month ago, series star Lauren “LC” Conrad seemed ready to leave the show.

“I’ve been doing it for five years. I think that it’s time for them to get someone else to step in,” People quoted Lauren as saying in October.

But Audrina said the show will move forward, despite some complications.

“At one point, all of us were like, ‘No, we don’t want to do another season,’” she said. “I wanted to do more movies, and Whitney moved to New York and she’s doing her own spin-off.”

Whitney Port’s New York-based spin-off, “The City,” will launch in the spring.

Audrina also confirmed that LC is dating “My Boys” actor Kyle Howard — but that the romance won’t be on “The Hills.”

“He can’t be on the show because he’s on another show, so that makes it hard,” Audrina said.

So why another season?

“We have fun with each other and we’ve stuck it out this long,” she said. “We might as well do another one.”
