NEW YORK, NY --

Augustana's sophomore album, "Can't Love, Can't Hurt" is set for a April 29 release on Epic Records. "Can't Love, Can't Hurt" was produced by Mike Flynn (The Fray) and follows up the band's album, "All The Stars And Boulevards," which earned them a dedicated following with its impassioned songwriting, full of infectious melodies and reflective lyrics. The San Diego, CA based-quintet recently debuted their new single, "Sweet And Low," on their MySpace page.

The song's compelling chorus, mixed with soaring guitars and a bittersweet arrangement, was met with immediate approval among fans.

Due to an overwhelming demand, Augustana will release "Sweet And Low" via an exclusive iTunes EP, featuring brand new songs "Hey Now" and "I Still Ain't Over You." The EP will be released on February 26th. For a band who made their career on touring and winning over fans with their lively performances, Augustana will spend most of 2008 on the road, including a performance at this year's SXSW Music Festival in Austin,TX on March 13th.

While "All The Stars And Boulevards" brilliantly captured the loneliness and vulnerability of a touring rock band, "Can't Love, Can't Hurt" illustrates the excitement of new love and ever-changing growth within a band. "Can't Love, Can't Hurt" is the most powerful and confident collection of songs from the band to date. Songs like the starkly beautiful "Dust," captivating "Hey Now" and heartfelt "Either Way, I'll Break Your Heart" result in a tapestry of epic yet intimate song-driven journeys.

With the enormous success of the band's single, "Boston," which has been certified Digital Platinum by the RIAA, "All The Stars And Boulevards" reached #1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart and the band went from hypnotizing small crowds in hole-in-the-wall venues to selling out 2,000+ capacity-venues across the country. In addition, the band became a VH1 "You Oughta Know" artist and performed on the "Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno," "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" and "The Today Show," among countless others.

With its meticulously crafted coming-of-age songs, "Can't Love, Can't Hurt" solidifies Augustana as one of modern rock's leading lights.
