Aziz Ansari & Donald Glover To Be Honored In Montreal

Caption Aziz Ansari, Donald GloverMONTREAL, Canada -- NBC comedy stars Aziz Ansari and Donald Glover are set to be honored at a comedy festival in Montreal next month.
Aziz, who stars in “Parks and Recreation,” will be awarded the Breakout Comedy Star of the Year Award, while Donald, from “Community” is being given the Rising Comedy Star Award at Just For Laughs, an annual comedy festival held in Montreal.
Aziz’s award is meant to honor a star who has gone from talented “to super-stardom,” the festival said in a release. Donald, a writer, actor and comedian, is being given his honor for being what the festival considers his status as the next big thing.
“Glee” writers Ian Brennan, Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk collectively will receive the Comedy Write of the Year Award.
In addition to the awards, the festival will be filled with a host of discussions and seminars featuring stars like Kevin Smith and Lewis Black. The Just for Laughs Comedy Conference runs from July 14-17.
