Balthazar Getty: ‘My Wife And I Have Separated’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Following the wide circulation of photos that surfaced of Balthazar Getty kissing a topless Sienna Miller, the actor has issued a statement announcing his split with wife, Rosetta Getty.

“The breakdown of a marriage is a very difficult and painful experience especially when children are involved,” the “Brothers & Sisters” star said in the statement released to Access Hollywood.

The statement goes on to say, “In light of the fact that many pictures have surfaced in print and on the Internet which has caused myself and my family great embarrassment, I felt it necessary to at least acknowledge publicly that yes indeed my wife and I have separated and I will not be commenting any further.”

After Balthazar and Sienna were photographed earlier this month in a boat off the Amalfi coast, Rosetta Getty left the country in order to protect their children, according to People.

In October 2007, the couple had their fourth child together.
