Rose Hall at Jazz at Lincoln Center on May 5, 2009 in New York CityAfter a two-month hiatus, Barbara Walters is headed back to “The View”.

According to Bill Geddie, the show’s executive producer, Walters will appear via Skype on the July 12 live taping.

On May 10, Walters announced on the show that she would be taking a leave from the ABC morning program in order to undergo “surgery to replace one faulty heart valve.”

Walters, who also serves as co-executive producer of “The View,” has co-hosted the program since its debut in 1997.

“My doctors and I have decided that this is the best time to do the surgery, “ Walters stated back in May. “Since the summer is coming up, I can take a nice vacation.”

While she won’t be physically present for the July 12 episode, Walters is expected to officially return to the ladies at the round table in September.

“American Idol” Season 9 winner Lee DeWyze and the co-star of TNT’s “Rizzoli & Isles” Angie Harmon are scheduled to appear on “The View” during the July 12 episode.
