New York, N.Y. --

Kathy Griffin might have taken her brash style of celebrity critique comedy a step too far — at least as far as Barbara Walters and the Ladies of "The View" are concerned.

While Kathy performed her sold-out stand-up show at Madison Square Garden, she told the crowd, "I was supposed to be on 'The View' [today]. But then I get a call from [producer] Bill Geddie, and he says, 'You were too mean to Barbara [Walters] on your last special, so you can't come on.' Can you believe it? I've been banned before but never re-banned!" reports the NY Post.

Kathy was originally banned from "The View" after dishing on the talk show in her stand-up show.

When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for Kathy said she had no further comment than what she said during her show.
