LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Bethenny Frankel shows off her baby bump as she attends the premiere of Discovery Channel’s ‘Life’ at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, NYC, March 4, 2010Caption Bethenny Frankel shows off her baby bump as she attends the premiere of Discovery Channel’s ‘Life’ at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, NYC, March 4, 2010On “The Real Housewives of New York City,” Bethenny Frankel has a reputation for sparring with her cast members, but in a new interview, the reality star told Access Hollywood that her newborn daughter has transformed her into a different woman. Plus, she explained why she peed in a bucket on camera.

“Bryn has definitely softened me,” Bethenny told Access of her attitude since welcoming daughter Bryn (with husband Jason Hoppy) in May.

Bethenny, who has hinted many times on “Housewives” that her childhood was a difficult one, said she is starting anew with her little one.

“It’s breaking the chain,” she continued. “It’s basically doing things differently with my baby and with my own life… When you’re a child, you don’t really choose what your life is; your life is the life that is given to you. And with Bryn, I want it to be different.”

The “Skinnygirl” cook added that she is relishing in motherhood.

“I get to get paid on the back end through her,” Bethenny added. “This is my time to shine now — through her, through giving her love and giving her a great life and all that I didn’t have.”

In related Bethenny news, on Thursday night’s “Bethenny Getting Married?,” her new reality TV show on Bravo, the brunette, who was pregnant when the show was shot, shocked viewers by urinating in an ice bucket in front of her assistant and wedding planner on the way to walking down the aisle.

Bethenny told Access that the moment wasn’t that big of a deal, but there is one thing she definitely won’t do on camera.

“If I start having sex on camera, that will be an intervention waiting to happen,” she laughed. “The truth is, peeing in a bucket isn’t that big of a deal to me, but getting engaged to my husband was a big deal.”

“Bethenny Getting Married?” airs Thursdays at 10 PM on Bravo.
