LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Jennifer Aniston is getting dating advice from an unlikely person – Bette Midler!
The singer/actress weighed in on the type of guy Jen should be on the hunt for – along with sharing her thoughts on Jen’s exes Vince Vaughn and John Mayer.
“She needs an exciting guy, like a race-car driver,” Bette told People about possible dating prospects for the actress. “I think she needs somebody who cherishes her, but also somebody who’s going to give her a run for her money.”
“She should find somebody who is really hot, who’s not in show business,” Bette continued. “Somebody with a lot of money, and she should live the large life and forget about these a**holes. She’s a great girl. She’s got everything going for her.”
On the topic of past boyfriends, Bette thought Jen and Vince Vaughn – who dated from 2005 to 2006 – were destined to make it work.
“I actually thought Vince Vaughn was great. He’s hilarious, he’s good-looking. I mean, I thought he had it all,” she told the mag. “I don’t really know them, but I like them, I like to watch them, I enjoy them.”
As for John Mayer, who the actress recently split with, Bette said, “Well, he’s a good-looking guy… I’ve got to say, I watched it for awhile, but I have no opinion. I just read a few of the blogs.”
And does the legendary entertainer think Jen should go online to get a new man?
“Oh, please, you mean JDate?” Bette said with a laugh, referring to the popular online Jewish singles site. “Put her up on JDate and see how she does!”
