September 18

Love Happens” — Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Aniston get close in the grown-up romance.

“Jennifer’s Body” — Megan Fox plays a (demon-possessed) man-eater in the Diablo Cody-penned horror romp.

“The Informant!” — Matt Damon gained 30 pounds for his title role in the Steven Soderbergh corporate comedy.

September 23

“Capitalism: A Love Story” – “Fahrenheit 9/11” director Michael Moore returns with a provocative documentary on the U.S. financial crisis.

September 25

“The Invention of Lying” – Ricky Gervais stars alongside Jennifer Garner as the only liar in a comedic world of the honest.

October 9

“Couples Retreat” – An all-star cast, including Vince Vaughn, Jason Bateman, Kristin Davis, Kristen Bell and more, stars in a tropical comedy about marital break-ups and make-ups.

“Whip It” – Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut stars Ellen Page as an outcast learning the roller derby ropes.

October 16

“Where the Wild Things Are” — The classic children’s book comes to life thanks to director Spike Jonze’s wizardry.

“Law Abiding Citizen” – Jamie Foxx faces off with Gerard Butler in the action/thriller.

October 28

This Is It” – A concert film made from Michael Jackson’s rehearsals for a tour that never happened, thanks to his untimely death. A last look at the King of Pop.

November 6

“The Box” – The supernatural drama stars James Marsden and Cameron Diaz as a couple with a big decision to make.

November 13

“2012” – John Cusack stars in Roland Emmerich’s latest big-budget disaster movie, this one about the Mayan-predicted end of the world.

“Fantastic Mr. Fox” – Director Wes Anderson returns with a stop-motion animation adaptation of the Roald Dahl classic voiced by stars including George Clooney and Bill Murray.

November 20

“The Twilight Saga: New Moon” – Jacob Black (Taylor Lautner) and Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson) vie for Bella Swan’s (Kristen Stewart) love in the much-anticipated second installment of the vampire franchise.

November 25

“The Road” – Viggo Mortensen stars in the adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s award-winning, dystopian novel.

“Nine” – Daniel Day-Lewis will be surrounded by a bevy of Oscar-winning beauties (including Penelope Cruz, Nicole Kidman, Judi Dench and more) in the big-screen musical.

December 11

Did You Hear About The Morgans?” — Sarah Jessica Parker and Hugh Grant star in the romantic comedy.

December 18

Avatar” – James Cameron makes his directorial return with the long-awaited 3D sci-fi epic.

December 25

“Sherlock Holmes” — Robert Downey Jr. plays the famous detective with Jude Law as Dr. Watson and Rachel McAdams as a dangerous love interest in director Guy Ritchie’s adaptation.
