Kristin Fancies Kerry: Kristin Chenoweth is still working on the script for her Dusty Springfield project, but she already knows who should star as her female love interest. “I want Kerry Washington to play my girlfriend,” Kristin told E! Online’s Marc Malkin. “Dusty had a relationship with an African-American woman and she was supposedly very attractive. Kerry is a great actress and I think we’d be amazing together.” We’re so super sold on this casting!

Kristen Bell Wants To ‘Gossip’: In other Kristen casting news, with reports that “Gossip Girl’s” ratings are slipping, could Kristen Bell inject some new hotness into the CW series? “I’ve pitched [show creator] Josh Schwartz a couple of times for me to be on camera as a waitress or something, but he wasn’t buying it,” the actress told The New York Daily News’ Gatecrasher. “But hopefully he’ll change his mind in the future!” Until Kristen gets a part, we say bring on more fun and scheming from Dorota! And less whinny and angsty Rufus!

Renee’s Star Studded Birthday: If parties could get ratings, Renee Zellweger’s 40th birthday celebration on Saturday would take down “American Idol.” According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Renee had quite the star power on hand for her milestone night. Her guest list included Madonna and current model arm candy Jesus Luz, Kelly Ripa and husband Mark Consuelos, Neil Patrick Harris and boyfriend David Burtka, Dorothea and Jon Bon Jovi, Cheryl and Ron Howard – plus single guys Dan Abrams, Hugh Grant and Bradley Cooper. And, Harry Connick Jr. reportedly serenaded Renee. We can only imagine Renee’s massive gift haul!

Shirley Jones – 75 & Topless!: And in some naked senior citizen news — “Partridge Family” star Shirley Jones is going topless! According to Page Six, the 75-year-old will drop her top in an upcoming episode of A&E’s “The Cleaner.” We applaud Shirley for not letting those 20-something starlets steal all the naked screen time – and you’ve been officially warned!
