Plus, he’s reuniting with his ‘80s band Culture Club; what is he looking forward to about going on tour again? George’s new album, “This Is What I Do,” is available now.
Welcome back to "Access Hollywood live". That is boy George with my guy. This is what I do. He does best. I love it. Your voice when you hear the voice is it deeper or pushing it deeper. It depends on the song. I have a lot of different types of voices. There has been so many things that influenced my singing from Gladys knight to Barry a lot of Barry on this album. I'm a David bowiee fan so that is something I'm always including him in what I do. One way or another. We have met and when I was 11 years old I sat outside his house. He knows me and we have had dinner tochlingt he remembers me from. From the front yard. From like sort of around the age of sfaechbility I used to pop up in a lot of things. He remembered me. I did this internet chat with him once and I was amazed he remember me. Reporter: He remembered you. He remembered me. At 11. He remembered me like romantic period where I met him and really dressed up and he remembered me. I was like wow! Remember me. I hear the voice. The beard so much more manly. Is that by design. It's one of the things as you get older as a male singer your gravity takes over and you do get lower but I kind of prefer my voice now. I was always a bit nasal when I was younger. I quite like a bit more of an opera sound. Reporter: Now like you said you are reunitinyou are reuniting with culture club have you started anything. Recorded why the. No we start recording in two weektwo weeks and we are we are going to UK in December and here next year. Reporter: Were romantically involved with your drummer. I love you all tochlingt you and John Voss. Reporter: He's gone on and married a William. How awkward is it awkward or. No. Not at all. Reporter: To her. Our relationship is like a mist. Like it happened but not really there any more. It's kind of weird. We are really good friends now. Think one of the great things when you can kind of grow up a bit and sort of be friends with the people you went out with. 3 or 4 ex lovers I'm really good friends with. Better friends with them now that we are not lovers than we were when we were sort of together, you know. Is he still married. He's not married divorced but he has a new girlfriend. I would be like don't bring that cutie around. One of the things. God what was I thinking. You get older and think. Reporter: Must be a special badge of honor too because he's a straight man 2 women in a row but the only one he fell for was you. I'm the only one you know about. Straight. I about. Straight. I don't know. What does it even mean that word. You know. Going back on the tour what will it be like compared to when were you in your 20's and 30's. I think much more fun experience because we are at a point now where we want to have a good time. We don't want it to be stressful. Also allows to us kind of make it about the music. Back in the day to the a certain degree was all about me and it was I had to kind of carry it and that kind of stresses and now when you first start everybody is all over you. Now we are older. We are not going to be chased down the street. I don't get chased down the street any more. Reporter: I was talking to Steven Tyler and he talked about lsd and Joe Perry laughed about it. Lead singer disorder. Something about lead singer. Did you look back did you carry yourself exactly the way you wanted to as front man. I think he have logs proven I didn't. But I think I'm a different person now. I think in a way my sanity is the key to the success of what I do. And that includes culture club. If I'm together, the whole thing is a lot more fun. You know. And I am very together I'm looking forward to L style lishly. Do it with sophistication and new record and we start recording in two week and I want to make ate great record. Here or U kichlt to Spain. Reporter: Where in Spain. Reporter: Where is that. South. Barcelona near Barcelona. I know that word. No. Are we seeing anybody these days. No I'm single. Very single. John? No. . Girlfriend now. Thank god. Reporter: Don't get in trouble. George don't manufacture again we want to get your take on some of the pop cull take your icon of today. Have you heard of the Justin Bieber. Of course. You were a young fellow. Reporter: One direction. I have heard of them
