LONDON, England --

The British Academy Film Awards mixed up the world of music and film Sunday night in London, as Mick Jagger handed out top honors to “Slumdog Millionaire,” but not before having some fun with nominees Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

Mick explained to the audience what he was doing at a film awards show while the Grammys were taking place across the Atlantic. The music legend said he was part of a rock star-movie star exchange program, People reported.

“Sir Anthony Hopkins is in the recording studio with Amy Winehouse,” Mick joked, “and we are hoping that next week Sir Brad and all the Pitt family will be performing ‘The Sound of Music’ at the Brit awards.”

Brad and Angelina reportedly took the good-natured bard with a laugh and applauded Mick with the rest of the crowd. Brad and Angelina did not go home with any BAFTAs in hand, but Brad’s “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” took home awards for production design, makeup and hair and special visual effects.
