LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

“The Odyssey” is going where no Greek epic has gone before: outer space. According to Variety, Brad Pitt will join Warner Bros. and director George Miller (“Happy Feet,” “Babe: Pig In the City”) in adapting Homer’s epic poem, which follows the heroic Odysseus’ 10-year voyage home after the Trojan War.

The twist is that the futuristic film will reportedly be set in space.

Miller is still on tap to direct Warner Bros.’ “Justice League” movie.

“The Odyssey” won’t be Brad’s first collaboration with Homer – he starred as Achilles in 2004’s “Troy,” which adapted “The Iliad.”

Brad has his hands full these days, with films including winter release “The Curious Case of Benjamin Button” and Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglourious Basterds,” which he’s currently filming in Germany – not to mention taking care of the latest additions to his growing family with Angelina Jolie, twins Vivienne Marcheline and Knox Leon.
