ST. PAUL, Minn. --

Senator John McCain arrived in Minnesota on Wednesday to prepare for his appearance at the Republican National Convention.

And upon his arrival, McCain was greeted by vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin, along with her pregnant 17-year-old daughter Bristol, and the baby’s father, Levi Johnston.

Bristol Palin has arguably become the RNC’s biggest headline since it was revealed she was five months pregnant.

Sarah Palin and her husband Todd confirmed the news earlier this week, releasing the following statement:

“Our beautiful daughter Bristol came to us with news that as parents we knew would make her grow up faster than we had ever planned. We’re proud of Bristol’s decision to have her baby and even prouder to become grandparents,” Sarah and Todd Palin said in the brief statement. “Bristol and the young man she will marry are going to realize very quickly the difficulties of raising a child, which is why they will have the love and support of our entire family.”

Sarah Palin is scheduled to speak at the RNC on Wednesday night, with Sen. McCain slated to speak on Thursday.
