LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
The first photo has emerged of Britney Spears’ return to “How I Met Your Mother.”
Britney recently returned to the set of the hit CBS comedy to reprise her role as receptionist Abby.
“I had such a great experience the last time I was on the show that I couldn’t wait to come back,” Spears said in a statement provided by CBS. “I was really looking forward to working with this cast and crew again. Everyone was so nice.”
The first time around, Spears’ character found herself smitten with Josh Radnor’s character, Ted. But the episode concluded with her leaving with Neil Patrick Harris’ randy character, Barney, for a romantic tryst.
Now with her return, Barney and Abby, bond over their mutual hatred of Ted, a rep for CBS told Access. The new “couple” will flaunt their “relationship” in front of Ted, but may lead to Barney popping a question to Abby.
“Abby is going to have a lot of fun,” Spears said of her characters return.
The episode, titled “Everything Must Go,” will air on CBS on Monday May 12.
