Britney Spears stepped out with a new man, David Lucado, back in March, following her January split from fiance Jason Trawick.

So what drew her to her new love?

“He’s just a simple guy. He’s funny, he’s passionate,” the “Perfume” singer told E!. “He loves what he does for a living. He’s just a good guy. He’s a really good person.”

When asked if Britney was scared she may not find true love again due to her fame, the star – whose Las Vegas show, “Britney: Piece of Me,” opens later this month – said she tries not to dwell on it.

“I really don’t think about it like that…if I see somebody I like and we hit it off, I don’t think about it too much, you know about the situation that I’m in,” she said. “I just kind of feel it out and follow my heart.”

Britney turned 32 on December 2 and said David gave her a watch for her big day.

However, the mom of two was quick to add that she doesn’t care about price tags when it comes to gifts, as long as they’re from the heart.

“I’m all about thoughtful gifts,” she said. “It could be $5, but if there’s thought behind it, I think that’s what matters.”
