Britney Hits Broadway

NEW YORK CITY, N.Y. --

Britney Spears has been causing quite a stir with her recent trip to New York City and the pop star brought Brit frenzy to Broadway for a showing of “In The Heights.”

Just before the lights dimmed at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, Brit took her seats, a fellow theatergoer told OK! Magazine.

Even in darkness of the house, other theater patrons could see Brit’s new radiant look.

“She looked really good,” an audience member said of the star. “I saw her hair and her sparkly eyes.”

During the curtain call, Brit was reportedly quickly usher out of the house — but not to flee the scene.

“She came backstage,” “In the Heights” star Doreen Montalvo told the mag. “She was so sweet and generous. She took pictures with the cast and musicians.”

Fellow “Heights” star Robin de Jesus agreed, saying she was “totally cool” when she came backstage. Adding, “She was freaking awesome!”

Prior to her time on the Great White Way, Brit caused blocks of gridlock as fans and photographers attempted to catch of glimpse of the pop star enjoying the Big Apple.

She reportedly had business meetings earlier in the day in Midtown, then enjoyed shopping in SoHo — even closing down the entire Mont Martre store, where she left with bags full of clothes.
