Hours after Sarah Silverman made a joke about Britney Spears’ waxed genitalia on stage at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards, the singer was caught with out her panties, hitting the strip.
Silverman made a joke about the birth of Spears’ children during her opening VMA monologue saying, “…they are so cute. They are as cute as the hairless vagina they came out of.”
The comedienne’s joke appeared to reference an incident last fall, when following her split with Kevin Federline, Britney ventured out in Los Angeles where photographers caught her without underwear.
The photos, which surfaced today on gossip blogs including Dlisted, were taken last night in Vegas as Spears partied with her brother following her opening set at the VMAs.
Meanwhile, in related news, a source close to magician Criss Angel claimed the “Mind Freak” star did not perform with Spears at the VMAs due to her lack of rehearsal of the number.
“Criss met with Britney at the request of Britney’s manager, Jeff Kwatinetz and when it became increasingly unlikely that Britney would take the time to rehearse or take the magic or illusionist portion of her performance seriously, Criss’s manager Dave Baram decided to opt out of the VMA performance,” the source told Access.
Angel was originally expected to help Britney appear and disappear in a mirror during the performance of her song “Gimme More.”
Spears VMA performance and late night underwear-free incident, weren’t the only troubling parts of the singer’s visit to Las Vegas, according to Robin Leach’s Luxe Life.
Luxe Life claims Spears flew in a hairdresser from Los Angeles to do her locks for the awards, for $10,000. At the event she allegedly wanted to have her hair brown, but her management team protested.
“It’s my money and I’ll do what I want,” Luxe Life reports the singer saying, noting Spears was eventually convinced to leave her hair blonde.
The Web site also claims that on Saturday morning Spears was spotted outside the Mirage on a park bench all alone. Shortly thereafter, two bodyguards were seen picking the singer up.
