Candace Cameron Bure On The Danica McKellar-Jeremy Miller Love Triangle

Candace Cameron Bure visits Access Hollywood Live to chat about her ‘90s love triangle with “Growing Pains” star Jeremy Miller and “Wonder Years” star (and current “Dancing with the Stars” rival) Danica McKellar. What does Candace remember about it? And, what does Jeremy have to say 25 years later? “Dancing with the Stars” airs Mondays at 8/7c on ABC.

Because dad wouldn't let me be Elvira. We watched this Monday night. We also learned something else. Yeah. Teenage dating triangle with Danica Mckellar on "The wonder years." So it happened that Jeremy miller, who was on growing pains with your brother, right? Right. Was dating you. You guys were -- Well, we -- Exactly. Let's just say that the dating term, we're using that very loosely because I was 11 and I was not allowed to date until I was 16. Dating means that you go out alone with a boy, takes you somewhere to dinner, a movie, whatever. I was 11. So there was no kissing. Did he ask you will you go with me? Yes, no, maybe? Yeah. Will you be go with me which is just like will you be my girlfriend. And Danica is a little bit older than me. But I do remember the first -- There's no, like, not even a peck coming from you but that's why he moved on. I thought about that, I thought maybe it's -- her sister picked off the phone and she said Candace, it's for you. And I was like, who are you talking to for ten minutes if the call is for me? And she was very sad when she answered the phone. Swrarmy asked my sister, how should I break up with her. I thought he was going for a triple -- He didn't know how to break it to me, so he was getting advice from my sister and she passed on the phone and that was that. Well played. So he makes the move to Danica Mckellar. You may be wondering how Jeremy miller feels about all this coming out. Take a look. He said this. I don't quite remember it that way, but it was, you know, 25 or so years ago, so Candace, you may have it completely right. Man, if I did that bad form on me, I am long overdue. I'm sorry. That was really uncool. If that's what I did. Anyway, it's really great to see how well you guys are doing. I really enjoyed getting to see you guys dance last Monday and your performances were just amazing. And I'm rg looking forward to seeing how you guys do on the show. Good luck and I hope to talk to you soon. Yes has to go watch. Getting a feeling, though, not the one that got away. You're with your husband, Val. How long have you been guys been married? We will be celebrating 18 years in June. How did you guys meet? On full house, Dave introduced us at a charity hockey game. I was 18 years old, he was 20. Love at first sight, married a couple years later. So you married pretty young. Yeah. I was married at 20 and then we have our three kids. The 15-year-old daughter, my boys are 14 and 12. But she just got her learner's permit. And I need you to give her driving lessons because you seem way more calm. We have not gotten to a freeway yet. I would not be that calm. Does it shock you that I'm Mr. Ice in the car? That's me. I'm always like, okay, a little -- you know, trying to grab the wheel. Push on the air brake. The air brake, yeah. You try to go left for brake, right for gas and teaching them that it all has to come with right foot. And then I'll say something on Twitter and people will be like it's D.J. And Dan fee tanner and did you have the trash bag in the car? And there are references to full house endless. Did your husband watch full house? Did he know exactly who you are? He did. He learned English from watching full house because he's Russian and he came to this country when he was 17. Yes. Like schm he rkovsky. You guys do not age on that show. Everybody on full house looks great. Does he have a Russian accent? It's so small. I hardly hear it. And if you know hear an accent, you wouldn't know it's necessarily Russian. Candace, you are crushing it out there. On ward and upward, my dear. Thanks for being here. Thanks for having me. "Dancing with the stars" Monday night at 8:00 on ABC. Candace has a book. Good read.
