overview
Blasting to superstardom after her sweep of the 2005 edition (the 4th Season) of “American Idol,” Carrie Underwood is now a multi-platinum recording phenomenon. Interestingly enough, her recording career was supposed to have started much earlier when, at age 15 in 1998, she almost landed a recording contract with Capitol Records.
She grew up on a farm in Checotah, Oklahoma and remains close to her roots and her family. Close to home she might be, but her music is known around the world and her debut album, “Some Hearts,” has unleashed a string of hit singles including, “Jesus Take the Wheel,” “Don’t Forget To Remember Me”, and “Before He Cheats.” Her second album, “Carnival Ride,” was released in 2007.
