Even though Carrie Underwood is an “American Idol” winner and today enjoys the perks of being one of the queens of country, the journey to the top was as rough as a bumpy, backwoods road. So, what does she think about how far she has come? Could she have imagined it when she was first starting out?

as I like to call her country carrie now look we know she was "american idol", winner happens to be one of the top queen of country music right now. With that journey to the top and this is great. When you think back to that little girl from oklahoma doing the audition for idol, I know everyone has dreams but was this even remotely close I always wanted to sing. If you asked me like 5-year-old what are you going to be when you grow up. I'm going to be a sinker. I lost my dream I guess. As i got older then everything just clicked into place. My gosh i can't believe I'm doing this rishtion there days when you wake up and go all right this is not a bad life at all. Oh, my gosh I think I have a moment like that every day. I remember in college being like okay. I have to be and pay this bill and do this. Try to figure out how much I need. I have more hours at work trying to figure out how I was going to make it and then now I have good stuff at the ggood stuff at the grocery store. Fresh fruit and it's awesome. Reporter: TURNED 30 THIS Year. Don't you feel so old? I feel old, younger people are -- I go to the movies. They are teenagers. Then i like my gosh I'm that person. Reporter: YOU OBVIOUSLY Married, you married a high profile guy in hockey but you kept things pretty personal. What you put out there is what you put out there. I don't know how far managed to do it in this day and age. I think winning a national is a blessing and playing here and it's enormous to good to the grocery store and literally one into brad paisley at the grocery store getting grocery. People are normal. People take their kids to ask and do what they do and live a pretty normal life. It's a blessing for both of us to be able to live and work here.
