Catherine Hardwicke In Talks To Direct ‘Twilight’ Sequel

“Twilight” director Catherine Hardwicke is in talks to direct “New Moon,” the just-greenlit sequel of the vampire box office hit, a source close to the negotiations told Access Hollywood.

The vampire drama bit into a $69.6 million opening last weekend, the biggest ever debut for a female director.

A Pulitzer Prize winner will scribe “Spider-Man 4,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Playwright David Lindsay-Abaire, who won the prestigious honor for 2007’s “Rabbit Hole,” is reportedly in final negotiations to write the latest installment in the superhero franchise. He joins some illustrious company — Michael Chabon, who co-wrote “Spider-Man 2,” won the Pulitzer Prize in 2001 for his novel, “The Amazing Adventures Of Kavalier & Clay.”

Matt Damon Signs On For Fourth ‘Bourne’ Film

Matt Damon is about to be “Bourne” again.

Universal will produce a fourth installment in the popular “The Bourne Identity” franchise, according to Variety.

Damon will return as superspy Jason Bourne, and Paul Greengrass (who directed “The Bourne Ultimatum” and “The Bourne Supremacy”) is also on board for the new film.

Brad Pitt To Star In Space ‘Odyssey’

“The Odyssey” is going where no Greek epic has gone before: outer space. According to Variety, Brad Pitt will join Warner Bros. and director George Miller (“Happy Feet,” “Babe: Pig In the City”) in adapting Homer’s epic poem, which follows the heroic Odysseus’ 10-year voyage home after the Trojan War.

The twist is that the futuristic film will reportedly be set in space.
