Casting Call: Ellen Page Backs Out Of 'Hell'

Ellen Page won’t be headed to “Hell” after all. Eric Dane scrubs in with Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston. Plus, Ashton Kutcher gets a new leading lady love. It’s all in the latest edition of the Access Hollywood Casting Call!

Ellen Page will no longer star in the supernatural thriller “Drag Me To Hell” due to scheduling conflicts, according to Variety.

The film, directed by Sam Raimi, was slated to begin shooting on March 17. Production has now been postponed until March 31.

“Drag Me To Hell” was described as a mortality tale about the unwitting recipient of a supernatural curse.

Page, who earned an Oscar nomination for her role as a pregnant teen in “Juno,” will next be seen in “Smart People,” opposite Dennis Quaid and Sarah Jessica Parker.

Also lined up for the young actress are “Peacock,” a thriller with Cillian Murphy rumored to star; and “Whip It,” a dramedy which marks Drew Barrymore’s directorial debut.

No word yet who will fill Page’s role in “Hell.”
