A stakeout leads to a smooch on ABC’s crime drama “Castle,” with Rick Castle and Kate Beckett finally sharing their first kiss.

Played by series stars Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic, the pair locked lips in a scene filmed outside a downtown warehouse late Thursday for a January episode.

Access Hollywood was first on the set this week with former “That 70"s Show” beauty Laura Prepon who is playing Natalie Gray, the actress who is cast as Nikki Heat - you know, the detective heroine of Richard Castle’s (Nathan Fillion) series of mystery novels, which just happen to be based on Detective Kate Beckett (Stana Katic).

NEW YORK, N.Y.

Stephen J. Cannell, the prolific writer-producer of dozens of TV series that included “The Rockford Files” and “The A-Team,” has died at age 69.

Cannell passed away at his home in Pasadena, Calif., on Thursday night from complications associated with melanoma, his publicist said on Friday.
