From Jennifer Lopez to Halle Berry, this year’s Mother’s Day has special significance to several stars who will be celebrating the maternal holiday for the first time as a mom.
Overview
Most talented celebs do good to excel in one… maybe two… genres, but the hot and talented Jennifer Lopez, or J.Lo as commonly referred to, is a top triple threat talent in dance, film and music. She was born in the Bronx, New York and remained close to her roots in her early years, but struck out for Los Angeles in 1991 after being selected to dance as one of the “Fly Girls” on the soon-to-be-hit show, “In Living Color.” She followed this up with a stint dancing for Janet Jackson, all the while polishing her acting chops with small roles in mostly forgettable movies.
Then came her bust out role as the title star in 1997’s “Selena” which earned her rave reviews from fans and critics alike. She followed this success up with her debut album, “On the 6,” in 1999 and by 2001 she topped $8 million for her starring role in “The Wedding Planner.”
Not only talent has kept J.Lo in the news. Several high profile marriages and engagements have fanned the media blaze, making her one of the most watched and sought after entertainers of the day.
