It’s raining babies this holiday season!

New Kid on the Block Joey McIntyre and his wife, Barrett, are expecting their third child, his rep confirms to People.

“Barrett and I are so blessed and grateful for the little one on the way,” McIntyre, 37, told the mag. “We’ll have our hands full. Three’s the new nine!”

The McIntyre baby news was first reported by TMZ, to which McIntyre broke the news while being filmed walking around LA.

The couple, who wed in 2003, already has two children together; Rhys Edward, 1, and Griffin Thomas, 3. New Kids on the Block are set to head out on tour with the Backstreet Boys for their NKOTBSB tour in 2011.

Meanwhile, another “American Idol” finalist is now a parent. The very popular Constantine Maroulis, who finished sixth on “Idol’s” fourth season, is now a father courtesy of girlfriend Angel Reed, with whom he currently co-stars on Broadway in “Rock of Ages.”

According to Us Weekly, Reed gave birth to daughter Malena James, who weighed in at 6 lbs. and 11 oz., on Thursday at 11:06 PM.

“Sometimes Christmas comes early and we’re so lucky to get the greatest gift a few days early,” Maroulis, 35, told the mag in a statement. “Angel and I are thrilled to welcome our perfect baby girl into the world today. Mom and baby are healthy and I couldn’t be more excited to ring in 2011 this way.”

Maroulis was Tony-nominated in 2009 for his lead role in the musical. Recently, talks have surfaced online that an Adam Shankman-directed film-version of the ‘80s rocker musical is in the works, potentially featuring Tom Cruise, Gwyneth Paltrow, Alec Baldwin and Mary J. Blige. Last Friday, Shankman Tweeted, “RUMORS: t cruise as stacee, Alec Baldwin as Dennis, Mary j as justice, Gwyneth paltrow as Constance from rolling stone… Sounds crazy :)”
