LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Charlie Sheen has called his firing by CBS “illegal” and an act of “high treason.”
In his first online rant since news of his termination from “Two and a Half Men,” Sheen filmed a live episode of of “Sheen’s Korner” on his Ustream page, on Tuesday night, where he briefly addressed his firing and the men he pegs as responsible for the decision.
Wearing a Cincinnati Reds shirt and smoking a cigarette, the actor – who although appearing to be a bit more lucid than some of his previous interviews and video blogs, seemed quite angry in his message – rattled off his “unwanted guest list,” which included series creator Chuck Lorre, CBS boss Les Moonves and Warner Bros. Television executive Peter Roth.
“You gave me your word, so in turn, you gave me nothing,” he said, addressing Moonves.
“What occurred yesterday is illegal,” the newly unemployed sitcom star – who referred to himself as “The Malibu Messiah,” among other self-appointed nicknames – bemoaned during the approximately 10-minute rant.
“A high treason has occurred,” he later added. “Mark this warlock’s word – defeat is not an option.”
Tuesday night’s video opened with a still shot of the book, “The Art of War: Great Commanders of the Ancient and Medieval World,” before transitioning into a montage of movie and TV clips (including one of Sheen on “Two and a Half Men”), all while “The End” by The Doors played over the top of the images.
Among the movie clips Sheen used in the montage was the “I love napalm in the morning” scene from “Apocalypse Now,” Jack Nicholson’s “You can’t handle the truth” speech from “A Few Good Men” and Gene Wilder screaming “It’s alive!” from “The Bride of Frankenstein.”
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sheen gave his first interview just moments after hearing the news of his termination on Monday to Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush.
“These guys are such yellow cockroaches that they didn’t even have the decency to call me. I put 5 bill[ion] in their cheap suit pockets and another half a bil’ in what’s-his-cheese’s pockets and this is the… respect I get?” Sheen told Bush. “It’s just deplorable and they should be ashamed of themselves!”
While Tuesday’s rant included several of Sheen’s new catchphrases – “winning,” “tiger blood” and “warlock,” he also unveiled what seems to be one of his new tag lines: “Sizzle! Loser! Bye!,” he shouted several times during the message.
