LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
Kristen Bell, the woman behind the voice of “Gossip Girl,” is joining the cast of “Burlesque” as Christina Aguilera’s rival, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Steven Antin will direct the “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” star in the upcoming musical, which also stars Cher.
Christina will play a small-town girl who comes into her own in the club Cher’s character runs.
Kristin will star as Nikki, which The Hollywood Reporter described as a “loose-cannon lead dancer,” who loses the plot when Christina’s character becomes the center of attention.
The film begins shooting on November 9, but won’t be out until November 2010.
