Chris Hemsworth: 'Thor' Stays True To Comic Book
Chris Hemsworth says the big screen version of “Thor” will satisfy fanboys and girls hoping to see the hammer-wielding superhero they’ve come to love from the Marvel comic book.
“I have the hammer, it’s pretty true to the comics,” Chris told Access Hollywood last week at “The Last Song” premiere in LA – which stars his brother Liam and Miley Cyrus. “I have a long blond wig and a nice big red cape and all sorts of armor and interesting bits and pieces.”
He revealed that the Kenneth Branagh-directed movie will be a hybrid of the various comic book incarnations over the years.
“There’s so many different versions of the comic books, they’ve sort of bonded quite a few of them to form this particular story, but it’s all very true to the original stuff,” he continued.
The 26-year-old Australian native told Access that his new Marvel movie is also close to wrapping.
“We started in January, and we’re three quarters of the way through at the moment and it’s going really well.”
“Thor” hits theaters on May 6, 2011.
