Christian Brando Dies

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Caption Christian BrandoChristian Brando, the eldest son of Hollywood legend Marlon Brando, has died, according to People.

He was 49.

While the cause of death is unknown, Brando had been admitted to Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center earlier this month battling pneumonia.

“The prognosis is for a complete recovery. He’s going to be OK,” Brando’s attorney, Benjamin Brin, told the Associated Press at the time.

Brando was born May 11, 1958 as the result of an affair between his father and actress Anna Kashfi.

In 1990, Brando pleaded guilty to manslaughter for killing his sister's boyfriend, Dag Drolet, and spent six years in prison.

In 2005, he pled guilty to spousal abuse with his then wife Deborah Presley, for which he was given three years probation.
