LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Christina AguileraCaption Christina AguileraTaking a cue from Gwen Stefani and Madonna, Christina Aguilera says motherhood has inspired her music.

The Grammy award-winning singer called into Ryan Seacrest's KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday morning to talk about being a pop star mother and her upcoming DVD release.

The new mother says her experiences during pregnancy will shape her next album.

"I'm very excited! I'm so inspired. I've got so much in me to write about. This next record, I want to have a lot of fun with it. I've been brainstorming for the last nine months of my pregnancy," Christina told Ryan Seacrest. "This next album will have a whole new me — a different me."

Seacrest asked Christina if Paris Hilton ruined her baby news by announcing the singer was pregnant before Christina could confirm it herself.

"Um, you know, not really. People thought I was trying to keep it this big bad secret. Really, I just didn't want to address it. Paris did jump the gun on it. She became the official announcer at a club appearance," she told Seacrest.

"It was funny," Christina added. "I laughed about it."

Christina and husband Jordan Bratman welcomed their first child, Max Liron Bratman, in January.

The new mother will be stepping out at a Best Buy in West Hollywood on Tuesday, in her first public appearance since giving birth, to promote the release of her "Back To Basics" DVD.
