Jay Leno Wins Right To Web Name For His New Show

Television host Jay Leno has won control of a Web address using the name of his new show.

The U.N.‘s World Intellectual Property Organization says current owner Guadalupe Zambrano of Katy, Texas, will have to transfer the domain name — thejaylenoshow.com — to the comedian.

LA High School Featured In ‘Bruno’ Leaves District

A high school that was the location for a racy photo shoot by Sacha Baron Cohen’s character “Bruno” has broken away from the nation’s second-largest school district.

Birmingham High School in Los Angeles had already been planning to become a separate charter school before Wednesday’s decision.

At a tribute to the late sidekick of “The Tonight Show,” Ed McMahon was remembered as a rare individual in the entertainment industry — a man whom “100 percent of the people liked,” actor Tom Arnold said.

Arnold, who worked with McMahon on the 1997 WB sitcom “The Tom Show,” said he envisioned him greeting “Tonight” host Johnny Carson in heaven.

Kristen Schaal, best known as Mel — the lone stalker of New Zealand transplants “Flight of the Conchords” in the HBO series of the same name, is expanding her horizons and taking to the airwaves.

Along with her comedic partner Kurt Braunohler, the two are hosting “High Five”, a new hour-long show on SIRIUS XM satellite radio. The show is billed as an inside view of offbeat news, comedy and music.

Overall for the week of June 8, “Tonight” won in total viewers as well as among such demographic groups as adults 18-49 and 18-34, according to Nielsen Media Research figures released Thursday.
