Sandra Bullock will make her first public appearance since her soon-to-be ex-husband Jesse James’ infidelity scandal broke, at the 2010 MTV Movie Awards, Access Hollywood has confirmed.
On Wednesday, a rep for MTV confirmed to Access that Sandra would attend the June 6 ceremony in Los Angeles.
Additionally, MTV announced on Wednesday that Sandra, a recent Oscar winner for her role in “The Blind Side,” would receive the MTV Generation Award at the event.
The award celebrates her work over the last two decades – from films like “Speed” and “A Time To Kill,” to “Two Weeks Notice” and “The Blind Side.” Sandra will be the first female recipient of the award, which has previously been given to Tom Cruise, Adam Sandler, Ben Stiller, Jim Carrey and Mike Myers.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sandra is also up for several awards at the event including Best Female Performance for her role in “The Blind Side.” She faces stiff competition from “The Twilight Saga: New Moon” star Kristen Stewart, “Avatar’s” Zoe Saldana, “Dear John’s” Amanda Seyfried and “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’s” Emma Watson.
Sandra is also up for Best Comedic Performance for “The Proposal.” Her competition in that category includes “The Hangover’s” Zach Galifianakis and Bradley Cooper, Ben Stiller from “Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian” and her “Proposal” co-star, Ryan Reynolds.
