Mel Gibson, LA County Sheriff Listed As Possible Witness In Deputy’s Discrimination Case

LOS ANGELES, Calif.

Attorneys for a deputy who arrested Mel Gibson on suspicion of drunken driving want to call the Oscar-winner as a witness during an upcoming trial to determine if the officer suffered discrimination because of the case.

The trial will focus on what happened to Deputy James Mee after he arrested the actor-director in 2006, and whether he endured discrimination because he is Jewish.

A judge says it’s time for the man charged in the slayings of three members of Jennifer Hudson’s family to face a jury.

Cook County Judge Charles Burns on Thursday set jury selection for April 9 in the trial of William Balfour.

LAS VEGAS, Nev.

Pop star Bruno Mars was cleared of a felony cocaine possession case on Wednesday, after his attorneys told a judge the Grammy-winning pop star stayed out of trouble and met other conditions of a plea deal.

Clark County District Court Judge Jessie Walsh dismissed the case against the 26-year-old singer-songwriter of hits including “Just The Way You Are” and “It Will Rain.”
