The “CSI: Miami” actor, who’s in the midst of divorce proceedings with estranged wife Brandi Cibrian, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday against Life & Style Weekly and its parent company, Bauer Publishing.

Chris Brown has received an “extremely favorable” report from probation officials overseeing his felony assault case, a judge said Thursday.
Brown appeared in a Los Angeles courtroom to offer a judge his first progress report since being sentenced for beating ex-girlfriend Rihanna earlier this year. He talked and laughed with his lawyer before the hearing, which took less than 10 minutes.

A former business manager for Nicolas Cage has filed a cross complaint in Los Angeles Superior Court claiming the actor was already deeply in debt when he was hired by the star in 2001.
As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, last month Cage filed suit against Samuel J. Levin, whom he claimed in court papers was an “incompetent business manager,” and whom he said sent the star, “down a path toward financial ruin.”
But in his cross complaint, filed late last week, Levin claims that when he was hired by Cage in 2001, the actor had already, “squandered tens of millions of dollars he had earned as a movie star, he was deeply in debt, and he owed millions of dollars in accrued but unpaid income taxes, with no funds available to pay the debut.”

A judge has granted a civil restraining order against a man accused of stalking Ryan Seacrest.
The order issued Tuesday requires Chidi Benjamin Uzomah Jr. to stay 100 yards away from the radio and television personality. A criminal court judge granted a similar order against Uzomah earlier this month.
