Viola Davis rose to fan-favorite status and wowed the critics playing good-hearted, lovable maid Aibileen Clark in “The Help,” and the Golden Globe-nominated actress says the recognition for the challenging role is definitely satisfying.
“It feels pretty good!” Viola told Access Hollywood’s Shaun Robinson at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards in Los Angeles on Thursday, when asked how it feels to receive such acting accolades. “I definitely feel like I’ve gone to a different place in my career and I feel a higher sense of responsibility for women [and] for women of color – it feels tremendous.

Jason Segel recently made super fan Chelsea Gill’s dreams come true by taking her to the Chicago Film Critics Awards last week (after she invited “The Muppets” star out for drinks in a song posted on YouTube), and the actor says that even though it wasn’t necessarily a romantic encounter, the experience was a good one.
