LOS ANGELES, Calif. --

Khloe Kardashian thinks the secret to the success of her marriage to Lamar Odom (two years and counting) is a deep compatibility.

“When I first got married, I had all the scrutiny and backlash in the world — people taking bets. Even Jimmy Kimmel had like, a pumpkin on his set: ‘Who’s gonna last longer? Khloe and Lamar or this pumpkin?’” Khloe told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman on Tuesday in Los Angeles. “But I get it and I always understood why people thought that. Lamar and I, we just mesh well and we communicate and when you know, you know.”

The couple’s romance continues to be documented on Season 2 of “Khloe & Lamar,” which premieres Sunday, February 19 at 10 PM on E! and this on this season, Rob’s personal development as a result of competing last fall on “Dancing with the Stars” is a big focus.

“’Dancing with the Stars’ did so much for him as a confidence booster and it was finally something he did on his own and he did so well on it,” Khloe said of how the experience changed her brother. “And he’s venturing out to want to branch off to wanting to do things on his own.”

While happily married herself, Khloe and the Kardashian family’s attempts at setting Rob up so far, however, haven’t worked out.

“I’m single. Very. Very,” he said. “They always try and set me up, but… lately, I’ve been trying to focus on a career with longevity in the business sense… That [romantic] stuff will come, I believe. I’ve been in plenty [of] relationships and lived and learned a thousand times and made mistakes.”
