David Letterman Reveals ‘Top 10 Reasons I Got Married’

NEW YORK, N.Y. -- Caption David Letterman on ‘The Late Show’Did David Letterman finally decide to tie the knot with longtime girlfriend Regina Lasko because he was tired of waiting around for Paris Hilton?

That was just one of the quite funny reasons the “Late Show” host rattled off during his “Top 10 Reasons I Got Married” list on Tuesday night’s show.

Letterman and Lasko got hitched March 19 at the Teton County Courthouse in Choteau, Montana, in a ceremony that “lasted five to 10 minutes,” Lisa Sinton, Clerk of District Court in Teton County, told Access Hollywood.

Among some of the other reasons Letterman finally decided to take the plunge was that his bride “needed a green card” and the “free cake” from the ceremony, according to his Top 10 list.

And, of course, a little friendly talk show competition with a certain host who has been married six times.

“If I’m gonna catch Larry King, I’d better get going,” he said as a reason.
