LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- “Save! Save! Save” chanted the crowd at “American Idol” after one contender gave a strong performance in hopes of convincing the judges to keep the singer from being eliminated on Thursday evening.
(SPOILER — this story contains the results of Thursday’s “Idol.”)
But, sadly, despite the crowd and Jennifer Lopez’s vote to keep him on the show, DeAndre Brackensick was given the “Idol” boot.
The talented teen – just 17 — gave a strong performance to try and sway the judges, and while he had J.Lo in his court, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler said no.
“You’re an amazing performer, and I stand by that. I think that you have an amazing voice and you’re gonna share a lot with the world,” Jennifer said, as she let the teen down gently. “I only get one vote. I’m sorry, we’re not saving you tonight.”
Before his elimination, DeAndre was joined in the Bottom 2 by Elise Testone.
