LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Deane Sheremet is making his split from wife LeAnn Rimes official.
Sheremet filed for divorce from his country star wife on December 17, months after Rimes announced the two were calling it quits, according to court papers obtained by Access Hollywood.
Citing “irreconcilable differences,” Sheremet filed the paperwork in Los Angeles Superior Court and requested that the court not awards spousal support to Rimes.
He has, however, requested spousal support from Rimes, whom he wed on February 23, 2002. Since the split, Sheremet has reportedly been spending time in New York City, while Rimes has been spotted out and about in LA with boyfriend Eddie Cibrian, her former co-star from the 2009 Lifetime movie “Northern Lights.” Cibrian is also getting a divorce from his wife, Brandi Glanville. As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Cibrian, a star of “CSI: Miami” filed his own divorce papers on August 24.
In other divorce news, Tina Knowles – mother of Beyonce – has filed for a divorce from husband Matthew Knowles, who has long served as both a manager and father to his superstar daughter. The couple married in 1980. The filing comes on the heels of the news that actress Alexsandra Wright filed a paternity suit against Matthew in October. Tina’s documents were filed on November 11. And a third couple is severing their marital ties this week – according to The Associated Press, Ivana Trump has announced the end of her relationship with her fourth husband, Rossano Rubicondi. The businesswoman told the AP in a statement that the pair’s business commitments across the world have made the relationship difficult. The two reportedly dated for six years prior to their 2008 wedding, held at second husband Donald Trump’s Palm Beach, Fla., home.
