With rumors of infidelity swirling around Ashton Kutcher and Demi Moore, the couple has jetted off to Israel for a little quality time.

“Sharing Love & Light while in Israel,” Ashton Tweeted on Saturday. “Asking 4 the energy 2 forge bonds with our similarities & find compromise in our differences.”

The pair, who married five years ago in a Kabbalah ceremony, has been embroiled in a series of tabloid scandals in recent weeks, with two women alleging affairs with the former “Punk’d” star.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Ashton slammed Star magazine on his Twitter page in early September after the mag published an article claiming the celebrity couple’s marriage was “in danger of falling apart” because the mag claimed the actor was allegedly “caught cheating with a sexy, young, 20-something.”

“I think Star magazine calling me a ‘cheater’ qualifies as defamation of character. I hope my lawyer agrees,” Ashton Tweeted.

“STAR magazine - you don’t get to stand behind ‘freedom of the press’ when you are writing fiction,” he added.

Demi stood by her man, reTweeting her husband’s comment and adding her two cents.“No question!,” she wrote in response to his defamation of character Tweet.

Demi also called her husband’s Tweet, an “Excellent point my love!”

Access Hollywood spoke with Ashton’s attorney, Marty Singer, who called the story an “absolute lie” and said they were “demanding Star issue a retraction and an apology.”

Singer also claimed that Ashton was never in the restaurant Madeo in the month of July, which is where Star alleged the cheating occurred.

“If the magazine does not issue a retraction, we will evaluate all of our legal options at that time,” Singer added.

When contacted by Access Hollywood at the time, a spokesperson for Star said the magazine “stands by its story.”

Two weeks later, Star published another accusatory article, claiming Ashton again stepped out on his marriage with yet another woman.

Singer told Access, “Star Magazine continuously publishes lies about Ashton Kutcher and many other celebrities. This is not the first, nor will it be the last time they engage in reckless conduct.”

A rep for Star again told Access, “Star stands by its story.”

The couple has since presented a united front, making a joint appearance at the Clinton Global Initiative, spending time together on the set of Demi’s upcoming movie “The Reasonable Bunch,” and posting a picture on Facebook of the duo snuggling in bed on their fifth anniversary.
