LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
UPDATED (3:11 PM PST) - County USC rep Adelaida de la Cerda now says that Gale is in critical, but stable condition — a slight improvement
=============================================
“Desperate Housewives” actor Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, fracturing his shoulder in the process.
A spokeswoman for USC Medical Center, where Gale was taken, tells Access Hollywood that Gale is in critical condition and awaiting further tests.
“We can confirm that Gale Harold was in a motorcycle accident yesterday Oct 14,” the actor’s publicist told Access.
“He has fractured his shoulder and is under observation to assess any possible further injuries. Everyone is hopeful for a full recovery. No one else ws (sic) injured in the accident.”
“Desperate Housewives” creator Marc Cherry told the Associated Press that Gale apparently has swelling on the brain, but was expected to recover.
Harold currently plays “Jackson,” Teri Hatcher’s character’s love interest in the 5th season of “Desperate Housewives,” which issued the following statement to Access: “Gale is part of the ‘Desperate Housewives’ family and our thoughts and wishes are with him for a speedy recovery.”
Teri told Access, “Gale has been an amazing addition to the cast of ‘Desperate Housewives.’ I am of course, deeply saddened by this tragic accident and pray for a quick, full recovery. He and his family have all my support and love.”
Gale is previously best well known for playing Brian Kinney in Showtime’s U.S. version of “Queer As Folk.”
He also starred in the short-lived 2006 FOX show, “Vanished.”
